The Panchmukhi Rudraksh is a single natural five-faced Rudraksha bead. It can be kept in your puja ghar or worn as a personal reminder of your prayer and meditation.

Panchmukhi means five faces, and this is the most common and widely worn Rudraksha in India. It is linked with Kalagni Rudra, a form of Lord Shiva, and Vedic astrology connects it with Jupiter (Guru). Traditionally it is worn for calm, discipline and steady focus, and it is often the first Rudraksha people buy before trying other mukhi.

Because it is a loose bead, you can decide how to use it. Some place it in a silver or copper dish in the puja ghar, some keep it in a wallet, and others wear it on a thread. There is no age or gender restriction on wearing a 5 Mukhi bead.

How to wear · mantra & affirmation
  1. After bathing, sit in a clean, quiet place facing east.
  2. Hold the bead in your right palm and set a personal sankalp.
  3. Chant the 5 Mukhi mantra below 108 times, or Om Namah Shivaya if that is your practice.
  4. Keep it in your puja ghar on a clean cloth, or wear it on a thread if you like.
  5. Keep it dry and away from perfume, harsh chemicals and long soaking.
  6. Handle it with clean hands and wipe it gently with a soft cloth.

Mantra: Om Hreem Namah

Chant 108 times (one mala). The mukhi mantra for the 5 Mukhi Rudraksha, linked with Kalagni Rudra (Shiva).

Auspicious day

Monday. Monday (Somvar) is Lord Shiva's day, the traditional first day for any Rudraksha. Choose the morning after bath, ideally around sunrise; Thursday (Guruvar) for Jupiter also works.
