Description

The Pyrite Tortoise is a small tortoise figure made from natural Pyrite, about 2.7 inches long and 1 inch high. It sits easily on an office desk, study table, cash counter or shelf.

Two old symbols come together here. In Vastu and Feng Shui, the tortoise stands for stability, long life and slow, steady progress. Hindu tradition connects it with Kurma, the tortoise avatar of Lord Vishnu. Pyrite, the golden stone often called fool's gold, is linked in crystal tradition with Goddess Lakshmi and the Sun, and people keep it for dhan (wealth) and confidence at work.

Shop owners keep it near the cash box, professionals keep it on the desk, and many people give it as a gift for a new office or a griha pravesh. Because Pyrite is a natural stone, each piece has its own shine and small surface marks.

Product details

  • Material: natural Pyrite
  • Size: approx. 2.7 inches long and 1 inch high
  • Suggested placement: north side of home or office, or a clean work desk
  • Symbolism: tortoise (Kurma) for stability, Pyrite for wealth
Benefits

In Vastu and crystal tradition, a Pyrite Tortoise is kept to:

  • Invite slow, steady growth in money matters
  • Bring a sense of stability to a home or office
  • Keep a wealth reminder on your desk or cash counter
  • Honour Kurma, the tortoise avatar of Lord Vishnu
  • Mark a new shop, office or home as a gift
How to use · mantra & affirmation
  1. Wipe the tortoise with a soft dry cloth to remove dust.
  2. Place it on the north side of your home or office, or on a clean work desk you use daily.
  3. Light a diya or incense and chant the Kurma mantra 11 times.
  4. Keep the space around it neat and free of clutter.
  5. Keep it away from moisture; Pyrite can lose its shine if left damp.

Mantra: Om Kurmaya Namah

ॐ कूर्माय नमः

Chant 11 times. Salutations to Kurma, the tortoise avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Affirmation: My money grows steadily because I work steadily. I keep my finances in order.

Auspicious day

Friday. Friday (Shukravar) is Goddess Lakshmi's day, which suits a Pyrite piece kept for wealth. Thursday (Guruvar), linked with Lord Vishnu, is also a good choice; place it in the morning after bath.
