The 9 Mukhi Rudraksha Pendant is one natural nine-faced Rudraksha bead, worn around the neck so it sits close to the chest. Its grooves, ridges and colour are natural, which gives each bead a slightly different look.

Devotees know the Navmukhi Rudraksha as the bead of Maa Durga, the form of Shakti who protects her children. In Vedic astrology it is connected with Ketu, the graha linked with detachment and sudden changes. A pendant is a good choice if you want to keep the bead on you all day without it showing, or if you sit for regular Durga jaap.

How to wear · mantra & affirmation
  1. Bathe in the morning and sit on a clean mat facing east or north.
  2. Place the pendant on a red cloth before Maa Durga's picture and offer a red flower.
  3. Chant the Durga mantra below 108 times with full attention.
  4. Put the pendant on and touch it to your forehead once as a mark of respect.
  5. Take it off before bathing with soap and keep it away from perfume and harsh chemicals.
  6. At night you can keep it in your puja ghar if you prefer not to sleep with it.

ॐ दुं दुर्गायै नमः

Chant 108 times (one mala). A short mantra calling on Maa Durga for protection.

Affirmation: I am protected wherever I go. I keep my courage even when I am under pressure.

Auspicious day

Friday. Friday (Shukravar) is widely kept for Maa Durga, so it suits the first wearing of this pendant, in the morning after bath. Any day of Navratri, or a Monday (Somvar) for Shiva, is also traditional.

9 mukhi ka Maa Durga ki shakti ka symbol mujhe kaafi relatable laga. Din bhar resilience ki baat yaad reh jaati hai, that's the good part.
