The Vastu Dosh Nivaran Yantra is a 24 carat gold-plated yantra used in Vastu Shastra as a remedy for vastu dosh, meaning defects in the layout or direction of a building. Common examples are a toilet in the north-east, a cut corner, or a kitchen in the wrong zone.
In tradition, a yantra like this is placed when breaking walls or shifting rooms is not practical, which is the case for most rented flats and finished offices. It is dedicated to Vastoshpati, the lord of the dwelling, and is kept either at the centre of the home (the Brahmasthan) or in the zone where the defect is.
