Description

The Evil Eye Bracelet is a beaded bracelet with the familiar evil eye symbol. It is light and simple, made for everyday wear and easy to gift.

Buri nazar, the belief that envy or a jealous look can bring bad luck, is common across India, Turkey, Greece and the Middle East. That is why you see nimbu-mirchi at shop doors and a kala teeka on a baby's cheek. The evil eye symbol comes from the same belief. It is meant to look back at envy and keep it away from the wearer.

People wear it after a new job, a wedding, a new car or a new baby in the family, when they feel more visible to others. In Hindu homes, protection from nazar is also prayed for to Maa Durga. The bracelet is a reminder to keep good boundaries and a positive mind, not a shield against every problem.

Benefits

In folk and spiritual tradition, the evil eye is worn to:

  • Keep buri nazar and envy away
  • Remind you to guard your energy and privacy
  • Add a sense of protection after good news
  • Carry Maa Durga's protection in mind
  • Bring calm when you feel watched or judged
How to wear · mantra & affirmation
  1. Wipe the bracelet with a dry cloth before first wear.
  2. On Tuesday or Friday morning after bath, light a diya in front of Maa Durga.
  3. Chant the Durga mantra 11 times holding the bracelet.
  4. Wear it on either wrist. Many choose the left, but there is no fixed rule for the evil eye.
  5. Avoid long contact with water and perfume, and store it apart from other jewellery.

Mantra: Om Dum Durgayai Namah

ॐ दुं दुर्गायै नमः

Chant 11 times. Invokes Maa Durga, the protector against harm and buri nazar.

Affirmation: I keep my peace and my plans to myself. Other people's envy does not stay with me.

Auspicious day

Tuesday. Tuesday (Mangalvar) is a traditional day for Maa Durga, prayed to for protection from nazar. Wear it after the morning bath and prayer; Friday (Shukravar) also works.

Frequently asked questions

Can a baby or child wear it?
For small children, adults usually keep the evil eye near the cradle or on the pram rather than on the wrist, since beads can be a choking risk.

Which hand should I wear the evil eye on?
Either hand is fine. Many people choose the left wrist, but there is no strict rule.

What if the bracelet breaks?
In folk belief, a broken evil eye is said to have taken a hit for you. Many people simply replace it with a new one.

Can I wear it with other bracelets?
Yes. It goes well with crystal bracelets and Rudraksha. Keep a little space so the beads do not rub.

Is it energised before dispatch?
Yes. Every order is cleansed and energised before it ships, at no extra cost.

Can it be energised in my name?
Yes. Open "Energise in my name" above, add your name and, if you like, your date of birth. There is no extra charge.

When will I receive it?
Orders placed before 2 PM (IST) ship the same working day. Delivery usually takes 7 to 10 days.

Can I pay cash on delivery?
Yes. You can pay by UPI, card, net banking or cash on delivery. Pay online and save 5% (up to ₹50). Cash on delivery is available on orders from ₹399 with a ₹49 COD charge.

Can I return it?
Unused products can be returned within 7 days of delivery.
