Description
The Surya Yantra is a 24 carat gold plated yantra dedicated to Surya Dev, the Sun, who is the king of the nine grahas in Vedic astrology. It is kept in the puja ghar, office or living room, ideally on the east side.
Jyotish links the Sun with the soul, self-confidence, authority, government work, reputation and the father. A weak Sun in the chart is often connected with low self-belief, friction with seniors or delays in government-related matters. Simha (Leo) is ruled by the Sun, and so is birth number 1.
People preparing for government jobs or civil services, those in leadership roles, and anyone who finds it hard to speak up at work often keep a Surya Yantra. The daily custom of offering arghya (water) to the rising sun goes naturally with it.

Who should keep a Surya Yantra?
Simha rashi natives, people with birth number 1, and those told their Sun is weak in the kundli often keep it.
