Description

The Panch Mukhi Hanuman Yantra is a 24 carat gold plated yantra based on Lord Hanuman's five-faced form. It is kept in the puja ghar, near the main door or in an office for protection.

In the Panchmukhi form, Hanuman appears with five faces: his own, along with Narasimha, Garuda, Varaha and Hayagriva. Devotees see each face as guarding a different direction, which is why this form is so closely tied to protection. Households keep the yantra when they feel troubled by nazar (evil eye), keep running into obstacles, or simply want Hanuman ji watching over the family.

Tuesday and Saturday Hanuman puja is common across India, and the yantra gives that puja a fixed place. A diya, a red flower, a little sindoor and the Hanuman mantra are enough. Some people also read the Hanuman Chalisa in front of it.

How to use · mantra & affirmation
  1. Wipe the yantra with a soft dry cloth.
  2. Place it on a red cloth in the puja ghar or near the entrance; south facing is common for Hanuman.
  3. Light a diya with sesame oil or ghee and offer a red flower and a little sindoor.
  4. Chant the Hanuman mantra 108 times, or 11 times on busy days.
  5. Repeat on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and read the Hanuman Chalisa if you like.
